Kylee McKereghan
Kylee is our Rider and Co trainer at SpringSong and is the 3rd Generation to carry on ponies and horses in the family. She was lucky enough to be raised on a Welsh Pony & Cob Farm. Since she was born she has been with the ponies and riding from the time she was able to sit in the saddle. She helps her mom in the daily operations of the farm, breeding, foaling, cleaning stalls, grooming, feeding, training the foals all the way up to starting and finishing young stock, sales, videos and showing. At times has ridden up to 7 ponies and going to school 5 days a week.
In 2011 she decided she wanted to ride Dressage and started taking lessons with Jessica Rattner for 2 and 1/2 years.
In the Winter of 2014 Kylee started riding with Jessica Wisdom. It was very fitting as Kylee has always looked up to Jess and watched her and Cardi every chance she could.
Summer of 2015/2016 she was also
A working student for Jessica.... Riding horses, grooming, tacking, taking video and pictures and traveling to shows.
Kylee plays Volleyball, Basketball and Track. In Basketball she was awarded Best Shot in a game in 2013 and Most Valuable Defensive Player in 2014. She has been on the Honor Roll her whole life every Quarter of the school year and 2013/2014 She was awarded the Perfect Attendance award for the 1st Trimester. In 2016 she won every one of her 4 Events at Districts in Track and was District Champion.

July 2015 ~ Kylee showed at the Prestigious Dressage at Devonwood Show. It is one of the largest dressage shows in the Pacific Northwest and has 230 riders from across the United States and Canada. She competed in Training Level Test 3 where she scored a 65%, 69% and a 71.8%, she was the Reserve High Point Champion JR/YR. At this show she also scored a beautiful 78% in her Dressage Seat Equitation class with an 8 on her Position and Seat, Judged by the famous Lilo Fore! At this show Kylee qualified for the ODS Championships, Region 6 Championships and Northwest Championships. This was the only show she has competed in the year.
September 2015 ~ Champion Training Level JR/YR at the ODS Championships
September 2015 ~ Northwest Reserve Champion Training Level JR /YR and placed 6 at Region 6
Kylee was USDF 16th in the Nation for Training Level and her and her pony won USDF All Breed Welsh Champion.
January 2016 ~ Kylee was 1 of 6 kids invited to the Robert Dover Horsemastership Clinic as an auditor in Wellington Florida.

August 2016 ~ At the USDF/Glisan Street Saddlery Young Rider Championships she was Awarded:

December 2016 ~ Kylee was awarded the Ravel Grant through the USDF
Winter 2016 she started riding with Julie Ronning in Newberg Oregon.
May 2017 Kylee used her Ravel grant to ride with Nick Onoda of San Diego, California. He was amazing and loved her and her pony. She is looking forward to riding with nick more.
Kylee has had the amazing opportunity to clinic with Lendon Gray, Suzanne Von Dietz Pollak, Beth Glosten, Courtney King Dye, Jessica Wisdom, Julie Ronning, Ernst Herrmann and Michael Etherly.
She has also has attended Clinics with Scott Hassler, George Williams, Robert Dover, Ann Gribbons, Steffen Peters, Lara Graves, Charlotte Bredhal Baker, Charlotte DuJardin as an auditor.
2017 brought lots of success riding 3 Ponies. Her show string consisted of WindSong Oh Midnite (Owned by Janet Gaffer) GMA's Secret Romance (owned by Michelle Gomness) and Loaded Weapon of SpringSong.
These ponies garnered Dressage Pony Cup Championships at every show, along with High Point Pony and High Point JR/YR. The ponies qualified for ODS Champiinships and Region 6 Championships with scores into the 70's. It also brought Clinics with Nick Onada and Brook Voldbaek.
The summer of 2018 has been a most exciting summer with an opportunity that most people would only dream of. Kylee was given an opportunity to work and ride at the Hanovarian Verband in Verden Germany and also work at a very successful German Riding pony farm starting, training and riding youngstock. She was lucky enough to go to multiple Young Horse qualifiers for Dressage and Jumpers and also had the opportunity to clinic with Germany’s young rider coach Hans Heinrich.
With all of that Kylee went to
CHIO Aachen World Equestrian Festival.
CDIO Aachen is one of the final World Equestrian Games team qualifiers where she watched the Worlds Best Dressage riders.
After she arrived home she also worked for Sarah Gammie at Devonwood where she was a working student.
In 2019 Kylee showed our homebred gelding Lethal Weapon of SpringSong to a ODS Reserve Champion 1st Level JR YR.
2020 Brought unexpected knee injury where she had to have ACL Surgery. After a short few months she was back on her pony riding. With the pandemic we did not show unfortunately but brought the opportunity to work for Charlotte Jorst for a short time.
In the summer of 2021 Kylee was looking to work for a Top Dressage Rider. She was gifted the opportunity to go to New Jersey to work for Alice Tarjan. Dreams come true. On that trip to visit Alice she was also gifted the opportunity to call Red Riding Hood a gorgeous 10-year-old Hanoverian owned by Eye Candy Jumpers. Kylee took an amazing trip to Wellington to visit Hoody at Rober Dovers beautiful barn. After several days of riding with Robert, they decided The 2 clicked and Hoody was Kylees. People only Dream of these opportunities.
Erica of Eye Candy blessed Kylee with this amazing opportunity. Kylee spent the winter of 21/22 in Wellington.
Late Summer of 2022 Kylee went down to visit one of her best friends and met Justine Wilson. She worked as Justine's assistant trainer for a year. The time in SC was very successful with multiple horses and she added her Bronze and Silver Medals to her awards.
2023 Kylee and Hoodie went to their 1st CDIs and she showed 2 of Oded Shimonis horses with great success. 2023 also brought Canter Culture Riding Apparel as her new sponsor.
Late 2023 an opportunity came to call Wellington home. The door opened and she took it. Its a New Year and New Goals!!
2024 Brentina Cup and NAYC.
